Meet Kerry
Hello, I'm Kerry Musey, founder of Little Village Counselling.
For more than 20 years, I have had the privilege of supporting children, parents, and families through life’s challenges, developmental transitions, and meaningful moments of growth. I believe every child is unique and deserves to feel understood, accepted, and valued.
I hold a Master of Counselling Psychology degree and am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. My experience includes supporting children and families with autism, ADHD, neurodiversity, parenting, attachment, emotional regulation, loss and grief, and maternal and perinatal mental health. I have training in child-centred play therapy, Theraplay®, attachment-based approaches, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, autism intervention, and other evidence-informed practices.
My approach is neurodiversity-affirming, relationship-focused, and collaborative. I believe differences are not deficits and that children thrive when their strengths, communication styles, sensory needs, and identities are honoured. My goal is to help children and families build understanding, connection, and practical tools for everyday life.
Whether supporting a child through play, helping parents navigate challenging behaviours, or walking alongside families through pregnancy, postpartum, and other life transitions, I strive to create a warm, safe, and welcoming space. I believe meaningful change happens when we support both the individual and the relationships that make up their village.
When I'm not working with families, you'll likely find me spending time with my own family, enjoying the outdoors, or continuing to learn through professional development. I believe learning is a lifelong journey, and I'm committed to providing evidence-informed care that helps families feel confident, connected, and hopeful.
